Executive Team

Prior to joining Sandvine, Lyn most recently served as President of Tektronix Communications (a Danaher Company) during which he helped lead and grow the business to the #1 leadership position (42% share) in a $1.3B segment. While at Tektronix, Lyn’s scope was full P&L accountability of the multi-national business with over $460M in revenue, 27% operating profit, and 1,300+ associates.

Over the course of his 30-year career, Lyn has accumulated a broad executive leadership background in the Telecom, Enterprise and Information Technology software industries ranging from Fortune 200 and Mid-Cap ($1B+) companies (including Visual Network Systems, Inet Technologies, QMS / Minolta and C.Itoh Electronics) as well as experience taking a private company through a very successful IPO and ultimately to a market leadership position.

In addition to his earlier career learnings, Lyn’s eight years of service in Danaher and exposure to their DBS methodology provides a great set of experiences using specific and relevant lean tools and techniques to help sustainably drive growth, improve business processes, and strengthen product reliability and internal operations.

Jeff brings over 20 years of CFO experience, having served as CFO for six public and private companies where he led multiple successful exit transactions and a public offering. Prior to joining Sandvine, he was CFO of StatLab, Authentix, Inet Technologies, and Microtune, where he partnered with financial sponsors The Carlyle Group, J.H. Whitney, and Cressey & Co.

Jeff’s prior experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer and leadership of Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, and Administrative functions, where he drove international expansion, operations rationalization, and cultural transformation.  Jeff’s industry experience includes telecom, brand protection and authentication, integrated circuits, wireless, and consulting. Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA degree from Cornell University and BA degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Asbury University.

Samir has 30 years of experience in the communications industry and leads Marketing and Strategy in his CSO capacity. Prior to Sandvine, he was VP & GM of New Markets BU at Netscout.

Prior to that, he was VP of Products & Portfolio Management for both Service Provider and Enterprise businesses. He was instrumental in successfully harmonizing the portfolio of disparate businesses from Netscout’s acquisition of Danaher’s communication platform. He held several key leadership positions in the company in his 18 year tenure, including Product Management, Channel Sales, and Product and Commercial Marketing.

Samir has worked in various capacities at Ericsson and Alcatel-Lucent in Engineering and Services organizations. He holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Pam is an MBA educated Senior Executive with extensive global experience in multinational IT and financial businesses, including full P&L responsibility, business development, service delivery and vendor/supplier optimisation. Highly skilled at strategic development and influencing significant business change from stakeholder engagement to employee commitment, resulting in widely recognised and outperforming organisations. Strong cultural awareness successfully developed through leading virtual teams globally.

Key deliverables: lead major change initiatives, business transformation, cost rationalisation, process re-engineering, develop and implement IT systems tools and applications, introduce robust performance management frameworks to measure the effectiveness of people, processes and systems, global leadership, and transform global delivery infrastructure to improve profitability. My strong ability to inspire teams to embrace change and generate the highest performance has led to the development of future successful leaders.

Alexander is the CTO of Sandvine and is responsible for the company's strategic technology direction. He is widely known and a respected authority in the open source community, and is the lead architect for Sandvine's industry-recognized, Active Network Intelligence solutions.

Earlier in his career, Alex was one of the chief architects for the open source streaming server software Icecast, along with the secure file transfer protocol GSTP. He spent the early part of his career at IDA systems, an IT solution provider for the Swedish government, along with a stint in the Swedish military. Alex studied computer science at Linköping University in Sweden.

Mark joins Sandvine from Tektronix Communications (a Danaher Company) where he was the VP Operations with responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain, commercial marketing, and adoption of the Danaher Business System of lean and growth tools. Previously, he was VP Solutions (engineering, service, and delivery), VP Products (product management and engineering), and VP/GM for a rapidly growing $250M business unit.

During eight years on the Tektronix Communications executive team, Mark saw operating margin increase five fold, and operating profit increase more than an order of magnitude. The Danaher Business System tools were a key enabler of this performance. Mark led Strategic Planning, Policy Deployment, Value Stream Mapping, Structured Problem Solving, Growth Assessments, Funnel Management, and various other growth and profitability initiatives.

Prior to joining Tektronix Communications, Mark spent 18 years with Nortel Networks where he held leadership roles in engineering and product management, including VP PLM for the GSM Access and VoIP/IMS businesses. He has led and built global teams of 50-1000 and has worked in Canada, Europe, and the US.  Mark holds a Bachelor and Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and is co-author of two patents.

As Chief Administrative Officer, Tim leads Sandvine's global Business Development, Corporate Real Estate, Human Resources, and Information Technology functions. He brings 25+ years of experience increasing value and creating efficiencies for companies with $100M to $18B in revenue across multiple industries. He is a forward-thinking leader with a strategic approach to building world-class teams, robust operational infrastructures, and streamlined processes.

Before joining Sandvine, Tim was most recently the Chief Operating Officer at T-System where he led their Human Resources, Legal and Real Estate functions.   Prior to that, he had long tenures with Trammell Crow Residential and AMR (American Airlines) in financial and human resources leadership roles.

Bringing over 20 years of experience spanning telecom networks and mobile devices, Ambuj is responsible for the research and development of Sandvine’s industry leading solution and product portfolio.

He has extensive experience in leading organizations focused on innovation and delivering world class products for the global communication service provide market and has expertise in transforming technology into market driven business outcomes. Prior to Sandvine, Ambuj held leadership positions in Motorola India and was responsible for developing high performance and cost efficient platforms for mobile handsets and data modules.

Ambuj is a passionate technologist, innovator and people leader.

Hashem is a seasoned sales oriented leader, expert and business builder with a proven track record in growing and expanding business within the IT, Telecom sector and regulatory in emerging markets. He has developed and delivered new business models and ROI analysis in major opportunities and key projects. He has strong international experience from various positions held in the Middle East, and experience in structuring win-win deals, demand creation and putting together special-purpose business plans and execution models.
