Description

As part of the EMEA sales engineering team, you will be focused on running customer trials, demonstrating Sandvine superior capabilities and product features. Trials are a critical part of the pre-sales phase and are often the only opportunity Sandvine gets to actually demonstrate the superiority of our solutions and differentiate ourselves from the competition.

Your role will be to produce trial test plans based on customer specifications, to implement advanced use cases in customer labs and/or during field trials to demonstrate the power and flexibility of the Sandvine network policy control solutions.

You will work closely with the local account SE. The account SE maintains overall responsibility for the trial and other customer facing activities, including defining and influencing the objectives of the trial to favor Sandvine. Your role is focused on the execution of the trial.

Part of your responsibility is also to create and maintain a lab in the Swindon office. The lab will be used to validate solutions and pre-stage specific setups prior to the trial at the customer site.

You will produce and maintain a library “packaged” test plans which can be re-used for other customer trials. This is an important task improving our efficiency and reactivity in producing trial test plans, and also an important tool to influence trial objectives to Sandvine’s advantage.


 

Skills

• Proficiency with the Sandvine Policy Language
• Hands-on experience with all Sandvine products: PTS, SPB, SDE, Control Center, …
• Experience with Red Hat Linux and databases
• Experience with solution testing
• “Can do” attitude and a passion for “making it work”

The position is based in the UK, at the Sandvine office in Swindon. The position will require travel in the EMEA region to customer sites. The duration of a trip is typically 1 to 3 weeks to execute and complete a trial. The frequency of travel depends on the trial activity throughout the region.
