In this position, you will be a member of team of Sandvine Consultants working consulting engagements with our customers. As a System Integration Engineer you will be working as part of a team performing the final system integration and customization as part of implementing a solution using Sandvine Products to our customers. In this role you will design, code, test, and integrate custom Policy Control applications as well as other system integration activities.
Responsibilities:
• Provide specific solution/technology/product consulting and technical support as part of a team doing the final system integration and implementation for a customer activities include
o Design, code, and test of Policy Control Applications using Sandvine’s Policy language and other integration software
o Configuring and troubleshooting network installations
o Designing and executing Acceptance Test Plans for the deployed solutions
• Provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for major account opportunities
• Understand business requirements for customer base and be able to translate them into technical requirements
• Strong understanding of Sandvine’s products and solutions portfolio
• Creating, present and document technical solutions
• Providing consultative support and mentor other less experienced Systems Engineers in assigned major account opportunities
• Working effectively as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team
• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (BA/BS or equivalent 4 year degree)
• Demonstrated experience in a object-oriented programming language such as Java or C++
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (sh, bsh, and Perl) and SQL
• Working knowledge ofLinux/FreeBSD system configuration and administration
• Working knowledge of Web 2.0 technology (Javascript, HTML, HTTP, etc.)
• Knowledge and strong operating experience in IP networking (routing and switching), wireline networks(Cable & DSL), wireless networks (GSM, UMTS, LTE), and operational support systems (OSS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally, ~20%
